Town Councillors, members of the Horncastle Support Team and volunteers from the community have been working to produce a Community Emergency Plan for Horncastle, with assistance from the Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Service at Lincolnshire County Council. The purpose of our Community Emergency Plan is to help our community help itself in times of crisis until emergency services arrive and, then once they have, to enhance their response in meaningful ways by providing them with important local knowledge and information that potentially can save lives. The plan is now complete and a redacted version (without personal data) is available to view below.
Emergencies are thankfully rare, but if and when they do happen, getting the right information from the right source at the right time to can help save lives, livelihoods and the environment which is why we have chosen to produce a plan for our town.
